MORE STRENGTH FOR PHILLIP "PIXS" MERCHANT
Artist in Critical Condition following STX Shooting

Phillip "Pixs" Merchant, a member of the D.A.P.P. Band and the former bassist for Midnite remains in critical condition at an STX hospital after being shot several times outside of a concert that took place at the Frontline Nightclub in St. Croix on January 9, 2009.  Phil and his bredren Shiloh were outside of the venue when shots were fired from an AK-47 being wheeled about by an unknown gunman.

Pixs was rushed to the hospital, and the bullets were removed, but he sustained substantial internal damage to his spleen, liver, pancreas and small intestine.  Several days later, fluids and mucous began to build up in Phil's lungs, which had also been punctured.  Lung surgery was initially prescribed, but was postponed after his symptoms improved slightly.

Phil remains in critical condition in the hospital's Intensive Care Unit.  Phil did not have any sort of health insurance, so any contributions that can be made through his PayPal account  will go a long way towards shifting the energy on a financial level.... Please keep Phil in your thoughts and send your contributions to dappband@yahoo.com

1/26/09 Update: Phil is still in ICU. He is still fighting pneumonia & a serious infection. His chances for survival have improved though. He knows how much everyone is praying for him.

The next bredren Shiloh is also still in the hospital. He had serious injuries to his leg and just underwent another sugery a couple days ago. Still not sure when he will be released.

Donations for phil can be made thru his PayPal dappband@yahoo.com any & all help is apprecialoved as he is going to have a very long recovery time.
